We are happy to announce that the admissions of International students (Foreign National, Person of Indian Origin, Overseas Citizen of India and Non Resident Indian) are taking place in Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce from 2018 onwards. Therefore, the students are requested to contact the College for admission formalities.
A student is eligible to apply as a Foreign National (FN) if he/she is a citizen of any country other than India and holds a foreign passport.
As per the Government of India Notification dated 9th January 2015, the existing ‘Persons of Indian Origin’ card holders registered as such shall be deemed to be Overseas Citizens of India card holders (OCI).
A student is eligible to apply as OCI if he/she is granted with Overseas Citizenship of India and has an OCI card.
A student is eligible to apply as a Non Resident Indian (NRI) if he/she has Indian nationality and has completed 10+2 or equivalent examination outside India
Admissions are in conformity with the guidelines set by the Association of Indian Universities and the Statutory Bodies of India like All India Council for Technical Education, Bar Council of India, etc.
Only candidates who have the requisite qualification from foreign universities or Boards of Higher Education accredited and recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Govt. of India, New Delhi are eligible to apply at Symbiosis institutes for admission.
If required, candidates will be asked to obtain the ‘eligibility certificate/equivalency certificate’ from the Equivalence branch, Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi on the given below address.

At the time of application student has to pay below mention fee payment:
When online application reaches along with the payment of Application fee and all the required documents; we will verify the uploaded documents and check the requisite qualifications for admission.
Subsequently, the student will proceed to Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce (SCAC) along with the Joining Letter to complete the remaining formalities where he/she will be given login id password and will be asked to fill up the admission form and pay the academic fee.
The offer letters will be sent to the selected students by email.
Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce will issue a “Provisional Admission Letter” only to the foreign national students who require the Student Visa. This letter is issued only after receipt of entrance fee. Applicant can use this letter as a supporting document while applying for his/her students’ visa at the Indian Mission in his/her country.
Please Note: The Visa should be student’s Visa and should mention the name of “Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce”. Any other type of visa is invalid and final admission will not be granted to students who do not have a valid visa. For the interview at the Indian Embassy make sure that you carry relevant documents to prove how you intend to finance your education in India.
The student is expected to procure VISA on the basis of provisional admission letter and arrive in India with all relevant documents.
On confirmation of receipt of registration fee, applicant will be considered as “Provisionally admitted” to Symbiosis. Subsequently, SCIE will send the letter regarding the formalities to be completed at the time of reporting.
Before the commencement of the academic program you will have to report at SCIE to complete reporting formalities. Kindly check the website for reporting date to SCIE.
It is mandatory for all students to produce all the documents in original at the time of reporting, as have been uploaded at the time of filling the form.

English Proficiency Test is mandatory for all the foreign nationals/ OCI/ PIO applicants of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) where English is used as the medium of communication and instruction.
Student can also opt for IELTS (International English Language Testing System (IELTS) which is organized by the British Council. The student should appear for the Academic version of the IELTS test. The minimum score required is 6 out of 9.
You can register for IELTS through the IELTS website.
It is a MCQ test (except for part-IV) of 150 marks divided into four parts. The duration of the test is 3 hours. It is available in PB (paper-based) mode.
International English Language Assessment (IELA) Test is conducted in Pune by English Language Teaching Institute of Symbiosis (ELTIS) which measures students’ ability to communicate in English across the language skills of vocabulary, grammar, reading and writing. The minimum score required is band 4 out of 6.
The test is based on general English. It is not necessary for the candidates to study any particular text-books or reference books. You can register for IELA while applying online through the SCIE website.
The new vocabulary sections deals with important aspects of word acquisition. It tests the students’ knowledge of word families, collocation, homonyms and homophones, etc. The types of questions in the new format are:

Prospective UG students must have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination from recognized Board can apply. Students applying through NRI category must appear 10+2 from outside India.
Students who have appeared for their 10+2 or equivalent examination and awaiting their final results are also eligible to apply. Such students should submit their Predicted Score or Pre Board Score duly endorsed by the Principal of the School on the School Letter Head. Admission of these students will be provisional subject to their passing and submitting the final result on or before 31st August of the admission year.
It is the responsibility of the Candidates to ascertain whether they possess the requisite qualifications for admission. Having been admitted provisionally does not mean acceptance of eligibility. Final eligibility for admission will be decided by Symbiosis.
The following is a list of 10+2 level qualifications and their nomenclatures recognized in Symbiosis.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP): In order to receive the IB diploma, students must complete examinations in six subject areas (3 at HL and 3 at SL) and successfully complete the core requirements including an Extended Essay (EE) of minimum 4000 words, Creativity Action Service (CAS) and Theory of Knowledge (TOK). Successful IB diploma candidates receive an IB Diploma and the transcript with Diploma Results stating “Diploma Awarded” listing the total IB diploma points score, the subject grades, the completion of all CAS requirements and individual grades for the combination of TOK and the EE.
International Baccalaureate Course (Certificate): AIU shall accord equivalence to IB Diploma Course (i.e. IB Certificate) provided that a student has secured a minimum of 24 credits and has passed a minimum of three subjects at Higher Level (HL) and three at Standard Level (SL).
GCE/IGCSE/GCSE: examinations of the approved British Examination Bodies, with Minimum 5/4 subjects in A, B, C Grades including English at ORDINARY(“O”) Level and 2/3 subjects at ADVANCED (“A”)LEVEL has been equated with +2 stage qualification. Candidates intending to join Professional courses are required to have passed the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics in ADVANCED LEVEL & English at AS LEVEL.
Prospective PG students must have completed degree examination (Graduation) from any recognized University can apply.

Symbiosis provides hostel facility to both girls and boys.
*Kindly note that hostel accommodation is not guaranteed as its limited. It is only available against vacancies, wherein the decision of the Principal is final and binding.
Symbiosis Vishwabhavan Girls Hostel & Symbiosis Vishwabhavan Boys Hostel:
Symbiosis Vishwabhavan Girls and Boys Hostel is located at Symbiosis Society Campus, Senapati Bapat Road, Pune. The capacity of the Vishwabhavan Boys Hostel is 110 and Vishwabhavan Girls hostel is 150. The Vishwabhavan hostel facility is available to students who have applied to Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences, Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce, Symbiosis School of Economics, and Symbiosis College of Nursing only.
All students residing in the Vishwabhavan Ladies Hostel would be able to avail of facilities including a common T.V. Hall, and Generator Back up. Use of Mess facilities and Health Club facilities are mandatory for all girls opting to live in the Vishwabhavan Ladies Hostel.
Each of the three-seater rooms has been equipped with a bed, a mattress, a table, a chair, a cupboard and a soft board. These rooms are also provided with an attached bathroom containing a bucket. There is also an attached balcony to each room.
All Symbiosis campuses are “No Smoking” Campuses. Students shall not bring, take and /or drink any alcohol/intoxicating drink/drug or any similar thing of any kind whatsoever and/or smoke in the room and/or any part of the premises; the same shall apply to visitors also. In case of default, strict disciplinary action, even amounting to rustication from the hostel/institute, will be taken as per rules and code of conduct.
There is a strict code of conduct practiced at all Symbiosis Hostels. Students wishing to stay in any Symbiosis Hostel will have to abide by the code of conduct.

Symbiosis Hostel Model Colony:
Symbiosis has another girl’s hostel situated at Model Colony, next to Atur Centre, Gokhale Cross Road, Pune. This is one and half kilometer away from the Symbiosis Society Campus, Senapati Bapat Road, Pune. The capacity of this hostel is 132. The Symbiosis hostel Model Colony is available to students who have applied to English Language Teaching Institute of Symbiosis, Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research, Symbiosis Institute of Geo Informatics and Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce only.
Common Facilities in hostel: Wi-Fi, Common T.V. Hall, Gas, Microwave, Easy Dry, Generator Back up, Lift, Laundry, Iron, Separate fridge for veg and non-veg, Use of Mess facility is mandatory for all girls opting to live in this Hostel.
Facilities in hostel Room: Fan, bed, mattress, table, chair, cupboard, dressing table mirror and a soft board, attached bathroom containing 2 buckets and mug, washbasin with big mirror, window with Aluminium Net etc.
